How to organise and decor a very small bedroom

Minimalist architectural styles and decorations have taught us that it is not about the space that you get, whereas, the kind of decoration that you do, which makes the space bigger or smaller. Therefore, in this blog I will discuss some techniques and methods of organising a very small room that can make it look more spacious and bigger.
Color:
Choosing the right color scheme for the decoration marks the beginning of the organisation of a small room. Therefore, we need to first choose a color that might play create an illusion of a bigger area. Neutral colors like white and grey play a very crucial role in such a task because such colors make the walls recede into the background, making the room look more spacious and bigger. Hence, We shall be choosing the color grey,for the aforementioned task.

Furniture:
Any furniture that you place in the room shall be low to the ground, like a table or a chair, avoiding furniture with high heels. This would leave more space above the furniture, creating an illusion of more height than there actually is, andhence serving the purpose that we are trying to achieve. Avoid using a lot of furniture and make the space present in the already present furniture more useful, to steer clear of making the room feel crowded.
Curtains/Bedsheets:
The ways in which the curtain is placed inside the room also play a very important role in creating an illusion of a spacious room in a very small room. For that purpose, classic panel curtains are advised to be hung in the room. These rods of these panel curtains should not be along the window line, whereas, the rod should be placed at least 4 or 6 inches above the window frame, almost close to the ceiling. This kind of a placement will make the eye trace the curtain upward, creating an illusion of a bigger room and a taller ceiling,than what it actually is. Additionally, the curtains should not be brightly colored with heavy floral designs, because such curtains would make the room look more crowded and hence, smaller. The curtains should be light colored like white or light blue, in contrast with the color that we had chosen for the walls i.e grey , with a light or no pattern on them.The bedsheets should also be grey in color and spread out on the bed, which would make the space covered by the bed recede into the background as well, again making the room look more spacious. Rug:
A whitish grey rug, matching the color contrast of the room, white curtains, placed in the room, partially under the needand partially outside the bed. This makes the room look spacious since the rug will be in proportion to the floor proportions and the right proportion serves to create an illusion of a bigger floor. The shape of the rug also depend upon the shape of the floor. For example, if the floor is in a square shape, a square rug will be chosen for it, instead of a circular one.
